Inkfish Nottingham has received the Age Positive Regional Newspaper award for the fourth year running
Sponsored by the Department of Work and Pensions, the Age Positive award is designed to recognise both individuals and companies who have overcome ageism in the workplace. Nottingham is featured on the Department’s web site and also has Age Positive ‘Champion’ status as a best practice case study for Inkfish's recruitment policy on older workers. The award is sponsored regionally by local papers and is further recognition of our progress in this area. ‘We were delighted to feature in such a positive recruitment light in our leading regional newspaper,’ reports Ian Bateman, Inkfish Call Centre’s Chief Operating Officer, ‘We’ve made even more changes over the past year in Nottingham to improve our recruitment and retention practices towards more mature workers and I’m thrilled this has been recognised by the Age Positive team.’ Alison Beirne, one of Nottingham’s Age Positive ambassadors attended the awards lunch on Wednesday May 10, in Banqueting House, Whitehall to accept the award, along with Inkfish Call Centres' HR manager, Ruth Ebbern-Robinson, and Sharon Watson, D&G's senior internal communications adviser.
