Slough call centre has new boss

14 March 2007 - Inkfish Call Centres Limited, one of Slough’s busiest call centres, has appointed Matt Stevens as Site Operations Manager to manage the 200 strong workforce and the technology which keeps the operation running. Inkfish is a wholly owned subsidiary of Domestic & General Group PLC and first opened in its premises in Bridge Street in 1997. The operation undertakes work for Domestic & General clients such as Sky and Zanussi as well as other blue chip companies such as AOL and BSkyB.

Matt, a Computer Science Masters post graduate, has gained considerable experience in the call centre industry, starting work as an agent eleven years ago before joining Inkfish in 2002. Matt handled clients Carphone Warehouse, O2, Sky, Travelodge and the Post Office as head of operations for Inkfish's Brighton site before his promotion to Slough's Site Operations Manager.

'I am very proud of how Inkfish has grown in the past 10 years. Key to our success is the training provided to Inkfish staff,' explains Matt ‘Everyone has an agent development plan and our in-house training and development team is focused on ensuring everyone can reach their potential. Inkfish is a top ten call centre operation and frequently promotes from within so there is plenty of opportunity to grow into new roles. I am a prime example of this.'

When not working Matt spends most of his time with his two young daughters. When time allows he even finds time for a game of golf or plays the piano to relax.
