Inkfish, Mad Hatters, Martlets and the Mayor

The Right Worshipful Mayor of Brighton, CouncilIor Carol Theobald, will take "Tea at 3" at Queen Square on Friday 29th June when the Inkfish team, suitably dressed as look-alikes at the famous 'Alice in Wonderland' Tea Party raise funds for the Martlets Hospice.

It's fancy cakes, all home baked, and the tastiest of teas as Inkfish entertains the Mayor as part of the national event to raise funds for hospices. Councillor Theobald has nominated the Martlets as one of her chosen charities for her year of office and is delighted that Inkfish are helping to raise funds for the Hospice. Besides taking tea, she will be engaged in the all important task of awarding the prize for the best and most imaginative cake as well as for the best dressed 'Wonderland' character.

HR Manager Lucy Crowther is looking forward to the tea party: "We've promised the Mayor that she will not have to sit next to the Madhatter or the Doormouse. More seriously, we're very grateful to her for coming and we hope we make lots of money for the Martlets, for whom we've already raised nearly £1,000 from the Midnight Walk this month."
