Inkfish targets £70k call collect for Sport Relief 170 agents at Inkfish Queens Square are under starter's orders to collect the pledges from the South of England Sport Relief 2008 Appeal from 6.00 pm to 12.00 midnight on Friday 14th March. Local sports stars from the Albion and from the England Ladies Ashes winning cricket team, Sussex Ladies cricket team, and the Mayor of Brighton, Councillor Carol Theobald will be on hand to help. All the agents give their time for free, with Inkfish - which is part of Domestic & General Group - supplying the phone lines and call centre desks. Last year, the pledges ended at £48,000, tantalisingly close to the £50,000 target, but this year the Inkfish team are thinking bigger still and have set their sights on £70,000. To generate the will to win, they're all going to come dressed as 'Sporting Legends' and Inkfish will be giving a prize for the legend of legends. Sport Relief is part of Comic Relief and each year raises millions for deprived children across the world. In Brighton, the Mile will be run along Madeira Drive on the Sunday and Inkfish will once again be entering a team who are already hard in training and hoping for a few tips from their supporting cast of sports stars on Friday night! Inkfish's Howard Doney says: "We've been deluged with volunteers this year because everyone had such a great evening two years ago; but, believe me, there's a great deal of determination to crack that £70,000 barrier, so I hope thousands of people all over the South will be calling us on the night - and you never know who might answer the call!" - ENDS -
