The clearest signs of success

If there is one thing as clear as Inkfish’s commitment to attracting, training and rewarding the best staff we can find… it is the fact that that policy is succeeding. We have several indicators in place which clearly show how we are going from strength to strength, both individually and collectively.

Sticky Learning

So how effective is our training? At Inkfish, we measure such things not by the time spent in classrooms, but by the improvements in performance of the staff who attend the training.

For this reason we have increased our emphasis on Sticky Learning… that is ‘training that sticks’. Our training has been developed to maximise interactivity and broaden the range of media used… and also to cement the knowledge and understanding after training are implemented.  And  how do we know this is succeeding?

On a campaign-wide basis, training programs are assessed on measurable criteria based on the campaign requirements (increased sales, reduced cancellations, improved customer satisfaction etc).  All the indications are that ‘sticky training’ is proving highly effective.

Ongoing Assessment

Key Performance Indicators are in place for the ongoing development of all Inkfish staff. For example, it is expected that an agent will benefit from:

  • One one-to-one session with a team leader or mentor a month
  • Two side-by-sides or appropriate equivalent
  • One silent mentoring session
  • Other development

An individual’s development plans and progress are monitored on a monthly basis. As well as being hugely supportive for our agents, it also makes good business sense for us at Inkfish and for you, our clients.
